Appendix I
Copyright Transfer Agreement
on Papers Published in the Journal of Huazhong Agricultural University
Party A is all the authors of the manuscript or the authorized representative(s) of all the authors of the manuscript, and party B is the editorial department of the Journal of Huazhong Agricultural University. Both Party A and Party B agrees to the following items regarding the copyright licenseof the paperspublished in the aforesaid journal:
1. Party A guarantees that:
(1) The manuscript has not been publicly published domestically or internationally;
(2) The content of the manuscript is authentic, accurate, and scientific;
(3) The content of the manuscript does not involve confidentiality issues;
(4) The manuscript does not violate the relevant national regulations on publication management;
(5) The manuscript does not infringe upon copyright or infringe any rights of a third party, and there is no profanity or defamatory content;
(6) The authorship of the manuscript is without any doubts or omissions.
If any behavior or problem that violates the above agreement occurs, all responsibilities shall be borne by Party A.
2. Party A voluntarily transfers itscopyright licenseof the following itemsconcerningthe paperto party B:
(1) Compilation rights (part or all of the paper);
(2) Translation rights;
(3) Reproduction rights of printed and electronic versions;
(4) Disseminationof the paperon the Internet;
(5) Issuance rights.
3. The copyright license period is the same as the copyright protection period of the paper; Applicable region: all over the world.
4. The editorial department has the right to copy, distribute, and disseminate the paper in various known or potential forms, formats, and media (including but not limited to paper, CD, disk, network, etc.); the right to translate, compile, and derive other works from the charts, abstracts, or any part of the paper; the right to license all or part of the above rights to third parties for use.
5. Unless otherwiseagreed, Party B shall notify Party A of the processing status of the manuscript within 90 days after receiving it from Party A. If Party A receives a rejection notice, this agreement will automatically terminate upon Party A's receipt of the notice. If Party A does not receive notice from Party B for more than 90 days, it indicates that the paper is currently under review. If Party A wishes to submit the manuscript to another publication, it must first contact Party B.
6. After the paper is firstly edited andpublished in the Journal of Huazhong Agricultural University by Party B (regardless of its form), Party B will pay Party A a one-time remuneration according to the remuneration standards established by the editorial department, and will also present 2 copies of the Journal sample.
7. If Party B republishes the paper in any other form (this publication has allowed a third party to reproduce, compile, distribute, and disseminate the full text of this publication through digital means), Party B will payno more remunerationtoParty A.
8. This agreement shall come into effect from the date of successful submission, and the validity period shall be the same as the copyright license period for the paper specified in 3rd part of this agreement.
9. If any issuesnot mentioned above arise, both parties will resolve them through consultations; if the consultationsfail, the issuesshall be addressedin accordance with the Copyright Law of the People's Republic of China and other relevant laws and regulations.
