    Abstract:

In order to study the effect of chemical inducers on the curing development and disease resistance of mechanical damaged yam,the mixture of 1 mmol/L BABA and NaHCO3 was used to treat artificially damaged yam. The callus was cultured at 35℃ for 7 days (RH 85%). The weight loss rate, decay degree, lignin, phenols and superoxide during the callus period were measured to evaluate the effect of curing treatment. The results showed that the combined treatment of BABA and NaHCO3 significantly reduced the decay degree of damaged yam, promoted the accumulation of lignin and phenolic substances in the wounded site, and significantly increased the content of superoxide. The results showed that the combination of BABA and NaHCO3 could effectively inhibit the infection of pathogens and promote the rapid formation of wound periderm of yam.
