    Abstract:

    Aluminum (Al) toxicity in acid soil,has become a worldwide topic,and boron (B) has been widely studied in alleviating Al toxicity. In order to explore the mitigation effect of B on Al toxicity in plants more clearly.This review mainly interpreted the mechanisms of Al tolerance in plants and the specific mitigation mechanisms of B on Al toxicity from two aspects:external and internal tolerance mechanism,and exploring the mitigation mechanisms of B on Al toxicity in plants,which mainly include:(1) inducing the secretion of organic acids; (2) regulating the change of root pH; (3) reducing the Al binding site on cell wall; (4) regulating the antioxidant system; (5) promoting vacuole chamber,in order to provide a theoretical basis for the B fertilizer application in acid soil to improve the Al tolerance of plants.
