The active endophytic fungi from the mangrove Bruguiera sexangula were screened with secondary combination screening model combining chemical and biological activities. The Pestalotiopsis sp. was obtained,from which four steroids were isolated and identified. The four compounds were identified as 3βEferuloyllupeol,stigmastan3one,βsitosterol,sitost5en3βol acetate based on spectral data and literature comparison. Among them,3β(E)feruloyllupeol was first isolated from the mangrove endophytic fungus. The four compounds were tested for DPPH,ABTS free radical and antibacterial activity. The results showed that all compounds had no antibacterial and antioxidant activities.
