Abstract:CARMA3 (caspase recruitment domain and membraneassociated guanylate kinaselike domain protein 3) belongs to CARMA family and is a novel scaffold protein.By regulating the activation of NF-κB signaling pathway,CARMA3 controls cell cycle, proliferation and signal transduction, and consequently influences progression of cancers and cellular responses. Here,we comprehensively reviewed NF-κB signaling pathway activation process, including CARMA3mediated NF-κB activation triggered by ligands of GPCRs (G proteincoupled receptors),DNA damage or infection, influence of CARMA3mediated NF-κB activation on VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) activity, negative regulation of A20 on CARMA3mediated NF-κB activation, and the link between CARMA3 and cancers, aiming to provide reference for the study of cell cycle progression, proliferation and cellular responses based on NFκB signaling pathway.
