    Abstract:

    Bioinformatics analysis of Streptomyces sp.SH-62 genome sequence showed that there was a type Ⅱpolyketide synthase gene cluster (ents) having high homology with the enterocin biosynthetic gene cluster in Streptomyces maritimus.The entire ents cluster was cloned by constructing and screening the genomic bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) library of Streptomyces sp. SH-62.The ents cluster was introduced into Streptomyces albus for heterologous expression.The results of HPLC and LC-MS analysis confirmed that the ents cluster is responsible for the enterocin biosynthesis in Streptomyces sp. SH-62.
