Abstract:Using 6 inbred line of broccoli as parents,combining ability and correlation of primary characters about head weight and the glucoraphanin( RAA) concentration were studied by applying Griffing Ⅱ.The results showed that both characters were affected by additive and non additive effects.The head weight was mainly inherited by special combining ability (SCA),were controlled by non-additive genes in a great scale; the glucoraphanin concentration was affected by additive gene greatly were mainly inherited by general combining ability(GCA),it was match the genetic parameters.Narrow heritability of glucoraphanin concentration was bigger than head weight.There were no significant correlations between head weight and RAA content,so both characters would be combined in the same cultivar.In 6 inbred lines,P3 and P2 were ideal parental lines for high yield,and P1 and P4 were ideal parental line for glucoraphanin concentration.Cominations of P4×P6 and P2×P4 had better special combining ability of head weight and RAA concentration,while P2×P4 was the best combination for RAA concentration.
