Abstract:Nineteen pairs of cDNA-SRAP primers were designed to amplify cDNA samples of 24 Chimonanthus praecox flower buds/tepals representing different developmental stages. The biological functions of a portion of differentially expressed genes were predicted and characterized. The results showed that cDNA-SRAP methods is simple, cheap, effective in generating relatively abundant bands and a valid approach to study differentially expressed genes. It indicated that fragments having high sequence similarity with Zea mays Zpu1, Populus tremuloides CesA4,Zea mays RP3-1 and Triticum aestivum PPO may play an important role in flower development and resistance to stress.
