One new record species of genus Lepiota is reported from China:Lepiota forquignonii Quél. Samples were collected from Jiamusi City,Heilongjiang Province. The new species is characterized by its ellipsoid basidiospores,widely clavate or obovid cheilocystidia, trichodermial palisade made up of differentiated elements,and clamp connections.It is placed in the genus Lepiota section Ovisporae.
