Volatile components of Chinese preserved duck eqqs (pidan) were isolated by simulia neous stearn distillation/extraction using a Likens-Nckens apparatus, and concentrated by a Kuderna-Danish evaporator. The isolate was analyzed by gas chromatography (GC)
