Abstract:The age structure and growth characteristics of 362 Triplophysa yaopeizhii collected from Anning River in Xichang were studied by using otolith as the age identification material. The main results were as follows: the body length of T. yaopeizhii ranged from 3.3 to 10.7 cm, and the body weight ranged from 0.4 to 14.2 g. The age range was 2~9 years old, and 5~6 years old was the dominant age, accounting for about 42.27% of the total number of samples. The fitting relationship between body length (L) and body weight (W) was W = 0.0126L2.9606(R2 = 0.9619,n = 362), which was consistent with the uniform growth characteristics. There was no significant difference in body length, body weight and age between male and female groups (P > 0.05). The von Bertalanffy growth equation was used to fit the growth equation of body length and body weight: Lt = 10.415[1?e?0.155(t+1.750)],Wt = 12.981[1?e?0.155(t+1.750)]2.9606; the inflection point age was 5.248 years old, and the corresponding body length Li = 6.895 cm, body weight Wi = 3.827 g; the apparent growth index φ was 1.295. It showed that the growth of T. yaopeizhii was slow and the growth cycle was long.
