Abstract:“She” is a form of village social organization established on blood, geographical location and beliefs. As a stable and interactive community of people based on people’s daily interactions, habits, and common interests and needs, it is a unit for people to carry out self-management and services related to village customs and public affairs. Through the empirical observation of “She” organizations in Southern Shanxi province, it is found that “She” organizations are reflections of the interaction between history and reality and have strong resilience, which is manifested in diverse patterns based on faith, family geopolitical location as well as composite types. Furthermore, the internal logic of the resilience of the community organization is clarified, including the three aspects: locality, practicality, and complementarity, which are the keys to the long-lasting and healthy operation of “She” organizations in the village. In the process of modernization, “She” organizations, as the core link of village ritual governance, play a role in constructing the social order, complementing and improving the village governance system, and has become an important part of the village governance pattern.
