Abstract:Based on development of standardized farms and resource utilization of poultry waste, this research analyzed the impacts of standardized farms on farmers’ environment investment by using endogenous switching regression model and spatial autoregression model, the data of which came from 401 laying hens farm in Jiangsu,Hebei and Shandong provinces.Meanwhile, this research also verified whether the standardized farms posed a demonstration effect on farms’ surroundings. Results showed that:(1) Standardized farms could significantly improve the farmers’ environmental investment; (2) Influence factors in farm’s environmental investment of standardized farms and nonstandardized farms were extremely different and farmers’ environmental awareness and environmental supervision in standardized farms were stronger than those in non-standardized farms; (3) The effect of standardized farms on the surrounding farmers’ environmental investment was higher than nonstandardized farms as well. Therefore, government should promote the establishment of standardized farms continuously, improve the environmental standardized farm’s access simultaneously and meanwhile enhance the environmental demonstration effect of standardized farms. In addition, government should also encourage non-standardized farms to declare standardization and strengthen the environmental supervision on non-standardized farms.
