Abstract:This study reveals the interaction mechanism of regional integration and urban land utilization efficiency (ULUE) at theoretical level and further constructs the “Scale+Structure+Agglomeration” evaluation indicator system under the background of regional integration.Employing the methods of wavelet neural network, spatial differentiation model and spatial regression model, this paper further expounds on the spatial correlation of ULUE and its influencing factors in urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River from 2003 to 2015.The results show that:(1) ULUE of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River increased from 0.561 4 in 2003 to 0.811 1 in 2015,showing obvious regional differences.(2) ULUE is not randomly distributed, but featured by spatial correlation and cluster trends.Because of the different diffusion effects among agglomeration areas, the correlation is mainly manifested in spatial dependence and heterogeneity.(3) The spatial adjacency of geographical location, and the similar structures in investment, consumption and industry are the main factors contributive to the spatial correlation relationship.
