Abstract:Entry mode is the important means when the economic organization allocates resources. There are three forms when the industrial & commercial capital enters into agriculture, namely the loose type, the intensive type and the semi-intensive type.Based on the survey data collected from 151 investors in Guangdong province,Hubei province,Jiangsu province and Yunnan province and the ordinal regression model, this paper analyse show production, market, institution, and the ability of transferring production technology influence the entry mode choice. The results show that the less advantageous the arable land resource is,the less likely the industrial & commercial capital would choose the intensive type; the huger the market potential is,the more likely the industrial & commercial capital would choose the intensive type; the worse the informal institution is,the less likely the industrial & commercial capital would choose the intensive type; the weaker the ability of transferring production technology is,the more likely the industrial & commercial capital would choose the intensive type.
