Abstract:Based on the micro survey data from Shannxi,Gansu,Shandong and Henan provinces,this paper uses Logit model,Probit model and effect decomposition model to study the impact of labor transfer on farmers’ choices of soil testing formulated fertilization. The result shows that labor transfer has a significant positive influence on farmers’ application of soil testing formula choice,and the population effect and income effect of labor transfer are positive while the population effect is greater than the income effect. The educational level of the household head,a village cadre or not a village cadre of the household head,planting years and joining the cooperatives or not have a significant positive influence on farmers’ technological choice,while cognition of fertilizer use has a significant negative influence on farmers’ technological choice.
