Abstract:As the most important part of decisionmaking, farmers’ cognition of green agricultural technologies directly affects their adoption behaviors.Based on field investigation, this paper analyzes the factors influencing farmers’ cognition of green agricultural technologies and the structure decomposition with the help of ordinal Probit model and ISM model. The result shows that farmers know something about green agricultural technologies.Factors including farmers’ attitude to risk, frequency of available technical guidance, type of the respondents, technical information patency and educational background have significant positive impact on farmers’ cognition depth. In addition, factors including the evaluation of agricultural production safety and parttime farming have significant negative effect on farmers’ cognition depth. What’s more, the evaluation of agricultural production safety,as a surface level influencing factor, directly influences farmer’ cognition depth, and information patency, technical guidance frequency and technical guidance satisfaction are the middle layer influencing factors. While factors including the type of respondents, parttime farming, educational background and risk attitudes are the deep causes. Therefore, green agricultural technology extension should be carried out through various channels and in different forms and the safe production of agricultural products and the protection of ecological environment should be widely advertised and promoted.Meanwhile, new types of agricultural businesses should be vigorously supported to effectively improve farmers’ cognition of green agricultural technologies.
