Abstract:Moral differences and conflicts of farmers in the period of social transition reflect a certain degree of moral dilemma and difficulty in achieving the task of building moral consensus with socialist core values.Since the reform and opening up in China, the diverse forms of ownership and modes of distribution have provided an economic hotbed for moral differences of farmers, but the organic combination of socialism and market economy show that it is an inevitable trend to build moral consensus in the pluralistic society. To overcome the plight of moral differences for Chinese farmers, measures must be taken to integrate and optimize the external moral order and internal moral construction.Namely, rural community must be established for farmers to improve their personal virtue in their interaction and communication with others in the rural community. Moreover, moral education must be carried out and enhanced to improve the moral level of farmers and socialist core values should also be carried forward to achieve the moral consensus of the value of farmers to lead.In addition,on this basis, public reasons must be initiated and advocated and the procedure and rules in building farmers’ moral consensus must be optimized,so as to reach moral consensus among farmers.
