Abstract:Based on the statistics collected through questionnaires among 220 university-student village officials in three provinces of central China,this paper analyzes how occupational embeddedness affects job performance and the moderating influence of proactive personality between the two.The empirical studies show that occupational embeddedness is positively related to core task performance,organizational citizenship behavior and creativity.Results also indicate that the various components of occupational embeddedness have different effects on job performance.In addition,proactive personality positively moderates the relationship between occupational embeddedness and job performance.
