Abstract:Based on the micro-perspective and hovering model, this paper, using AHP and Entropy Methods, constructs the comprehensive evaluation index system and evaluation model of agricultural drought disaster vulnerability. In addition, this paper makes an emprical analysis on survey data from the households of Zengdu District, Shuizhou City. The result shows that villages with better farming irrigation facilities, flat terrain and the higher family income have lower-degree level of vulnerability of agricultural drought disaster; agricultural loans have significant impact on farmers’ vulnerability of agricultural drought disaster, while disaster subsidies have not obvious impact on agricultural drought disaster vulnerability. Therefore, this paepr proposes several suggestions on how to reduce vulnerability of agricultural drought in drought-prone areas: to strengthen the infrastructural construction of farmland and water conservancy in drought-prone areas,in particular,to strengthen water-based construction process; to increase the intensity of the preferential agricultural policy, such as agricultural loans, agricultural insurance and drought-resistant and water-saving technology in drought-prone areas.
