To promote the teaching mode of sports club in universities,this paper investigated the different teaching modes and curriculum of physical education in universities,students’ attitudes,action and demands as well as teachers,facilities and equipments and discussed the necessity and feasibility to popularize teaching mode of sports club in universities of Hubei province.This paper finally put forward several suggestions on how to improve the teaching mode of sports club in universities.These suggestions included changing conceptions and pushing forward the tranformation of teaching mode of physical education in universities,perfecting the management system and realizing scientific management in teaching mode of sports club,taking advantage of guidance of PE teachers and constantly optimizing educational environment.
