The harmonious doctor-patient relationship can be reflected from mutual respect,mutual understanding,mutual trust,active cooperation and conquering disease together.When contradiction between doctor and patient arises,it can be resolved through reasonable and legal methods from the perspective of safeguarding stability and unity.The basic features of harmonious doctor-patient relationship include equal legal relationship,fair and just relationship,honest and friendly relationship and win-win relationship.Factors causing tense doctor-patient relationship include backward medical laws and regulations,imperfect medical system and social security system,differences between doctors and patients in awareness and behavior and poor internal management in hospitals and external dishonesty.Finally,this paper puts forward several ways on how to establish harmonious doctor-patient relationship,such as adopting and perfecting medical laws and regulations so as to practice medicine in accordance with the law,straightening medical system to reduce the burden of patients,adhering to people-orientation so as to embody medical human care,implementing communication between doctors and patients and strengthening communication between governments and media.
