This paper analyzed total energy consumption in the eight industries through the selected panel data of eight industries between 1994 and 2007.It has been found that the expansion of economy is the primary factor in raising the energy consumption.However,energy intensity declined remarkably,making energy intensity a leading factor in energy conservation.Nevertheless,Energy conversion efficiency and structural changes are also of vital importance in reducing energy consumption.
