At present,the contradiction between more people and less land,nonagricultural industries’ recession and the system obstacles of rural economic society hindered the development of China’s agriculture seriously.Based on the comparative analysis of cultivated land between small-scale operation in China and large-scale operation in developed countries,this paper starts with the concept of cultivated land scale operation,discusses the appropriate scale on cultivated land operation from the perspective of scale and efficiency,and makes a conclusion that appropriate scale on cultivated land operation is an inevitable trend and requirements to achieve agricultural development in China.
