Abstract:In this paper,we use the Malmquist index based on DEA and provincial costbenefit data to analyze rape productivity growth conditions in various regions of China and further divide productivity into technological progress and technical efficiency. On this basis we test the absolute convergence and the conditional convergence of total factor productivity in the gaps between the regions. The conclusions show that the average growth rate of rape productivity of China is -6%,-5.8% for technological progress and -0.2% for technical efficiency. The decline in productivity is primarily caused by technical setbacks. There is not only the productivity of σ convergence, but also absolutely β convergence and conditions β convergence. The convergence rate were 7.59% and 8.93%,and the convergence phenomenon occurred mainly in the 1980s.
