MAE(Masters of Agricultural Extension) setting was approved by the Academic Degree Commission under the State Council in 1999,which has become a major professional degree of agricultural education in China.This paper tries to analyze the cause of rapid and sound development of MAE from the angle of modern agriculture in order to provide the basic information for the sustainable development of MAE.
