English teaching method experienced great changes,from Grammar-Translation Method to Communicative Method and then Whole Language Method.These changes mature our English teaching.In this paper "The Holistic Cyclic" Model is illustrated in details,including its origin,its application and its prospect.A comparison between "The Holistic Cyclic" Model and "The Teacher-Centred Atomistic" Model is also made in this paper,which points out the advantages and the feasibility of "The Holistic Cyclic" Model.
