The construction of several representative research-oriented colleges is a premise and base of constructing a research-oriented university.This paper elaborates on the role the Party committee should play and its working priorities,combining with the practice of College of Life Science and Technology in constructing research-oriented college.This paper points out that in order to do the work of research-oriented college better,organizing seminars and mastering the essence are premises,confirming the aim and sorting out thoughts are the bases,concentrating on courses and building an excellent team are the key points,education and quality are the cores,innovations in management and improvement in environment are the roots.
