This paper divided the world pork market into three kinds of sub-markets according to the SPS level and strictness and stated that the import standards in the first kind of market are higher than the international standards, those in the second kind of market complies with the international standards, whereas the import standards in the third kind of market are lower than the international standards. As far as China's pork is concerned, the compliance cost for entering the first kind of market is very high and hence export possibilities is not so high. Its main market is in the second and third kinds of market. Therefore, the Hong Kong, Russian and Malaysia markets should be consolidated and the Japan, Korea, Singapore markets on the base of controlling pig disease and pork safety should be developed.
