The continuing education is playing an important role in realizing popularization of higher learning education and implementing the strategy of developing the country by relying on science and education. Developing the continuing education is one of the basic tasks for universities and it is also an important, indispensable ingredient of schools. This paper firstly expounds the significance of developing the continuing education in current situation; secondly this paper analyzes the current problems in the process of developing continuing education in universities; finally, four strategies and countermeasures about developing continuing education in universities in the new era are put forward in this paper.
