In the recent years, the countryside has made huge contributions to the development of the economy of China. Now, it is a new era for the development of the countryside, however, the lawmaking is lagging behind the times, as can be seen from the current status of agricultural lawmaking in China. Therefore, in order to meet the requirements of the new era and new situations, related laws and regulations should be established and modified as soon as possible, and the agricultural lawmaking system should be gradually improved in China. In this paper, a brief description was made on the current situation of the agricultural lawmaking in China, and the necessity of improving the agricultural lawmaking was analyzed from the following four aspects: adapt to the new situations after China' s entering WTO, promote the development of agriculture and the economy of the countryside, ensure the benefit of the farmers and maintain a stable and harmonious society, and finally summarize experiences from different nations from all over the world for successfully developing agricultural production. The adjustment and improvement of the agricultural lawmaking in China in the new era are also emphasized and discussed in this paper, with regard to the following five areas , including agricultural insurance, agricultural investment, agricultural products circulation, countryside financial cooperation, and the social security in countryside.
